gary colesGary’s key responsibilities include paratransit, fixed route, and multimodal services. He knows and understands the bus transportation market and is committed to driving forward strategic business priorities designed to better serve MV customers, clients, and riders alike.

Gary joined MV in January of 2008, as Vice President of Business Development in the Central region. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a clear strength in customer relationship management from both an operations and sales perspective. He is adept in managing expectations and delivering on his promises.

Prior to joining MV, Gary served as a general manager for Veolia Transportation’s contract for the CONNECTOR service in Fairfax County. He also managed Eastern Canada and Northeast operations in the U.S., and was responsible for more than $300 million in revenue while serving as a regional manager at Greyhound.

Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Mary Washington College and a certificate in finance and accounting for non-financial managers from Southern Methodist University. He sits on the board of directors for three associations, including the- New England Bus Association, the Bus Association of New York, and the Pennsylvania Bus Association.
