David Bird, CPA, CMA

David Bird is a certified management accountant and the company’s corporate controller. He works closely with MV’s CFO and accounting teams to plan, budget, and manage MV’s financials.

Bird has oversight of all accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting functions of MV and its subsidiaries. His scope of responsibility includes vendor management, personnel management, as well as policy creation, implementation, and enforcement.

Joining MV in 2010, Bird previously served as a director of finance for nearly three years at ACI Worldwide (SEC filer). His primary responsibilities included the resolution of complex accounting issues relating to sales transactions, multi-element arrangements, contract accounting, sales incentives, and various other revenue recognition matters. He oversaw distribution, purchasing, and product development arrangements, and multi-currency and inter-company transactions.

His work at ACI spanned all areas of the business, including sales, legal, purchasing, and executive management. He established policy and managed processes in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and served as a member of the SEC Disclosure Committee, responsible for reviewing all SEC filings. Prior to joining MV, Bird was an audit senior manager for Deloitte & Touche for eight years. Bird holds a Masters in Professional Accounting and is a certified public accountant (inactive) and a certified management accountant (active).
